8yr old labra. White and yellow vomit. Detail info...

Sorry but it will be a big post describing the whole journey so far.

Breed: Labra, male.
Age 8.5 yrs

My father passed away 2 months back and we cremenated him at his birth place/ hometown. We took our dog with us. He travelled with us for at least 15hrs. We stayed for all rituals etc and came back to our place by same means.

He was healthy in between and there were no signs of depression etc.
* He bit my uncle though. Dog was vaccinated hence we didnt took him to vet. My uncle took anti rabies inj though.

After we returned all was ok but 2 weeks back my dog stopped eating and started vomiting frequently. We thought its due to stomach issue as he use to eat grass to clear his stomach. Inbetween he got lice (use to fill his coat with solid black particles or i dont know what are they but not ticks.) Cured later. We took him to his regular pet clinic nearby and since then he is on drips 2 times a day. He doesnt eats at all. He will drink water but will start vommiting white and yellow inbetween. Also his poop was dark brown thick fluid and reddish as well. Kinda loosemotions.

Condition is still the same. Doctor is saying he has kidney issues and has performed blood and few other tests that we just got yesterday. He has also suggested us to visit another doctor since his medicens are not providing much help.

Today my mom tried to be strict with the dog and he bit her as well.
I am really worried. My elder brother is taking care of him and takes him twice for drips, morning and evening.

I am getting hopeless each day. If someone needa the reports then i can upload them as wel Hope i will get some help from you guys.

What do the tests your vet has performed say. To me it sounds as though your dog has some sort of infection like guardia, salmonella. I would expect the bloods to tell the vet whats going on to be honest

Thanks for the reply .

We have done blood test and according to that doctor is saying his kidneys are failing, some toxics that have affected his both kidneys.

So we took to one more vet reffered by previous doc, he performed ultrasound and said the same thing. However my brother send those reports to Govt. hospital vet and he is saying either the blood report is wrong coz ultrasound pics are not matching upto.

We are kinda confused but that doctor will visit this week with a specialist. Hope to get some positive output.

Health update - still vomiting yellowish fluid, doc has mentioned not give him water straightaway. He has given a powder and ORS solution. But my dog just licks it and goes away. Still he is not eating at all.

I have attached lab report as well.

I'm not qualified to read a lab report, but if both vets say it is the same problem and he is suffering then it's not humane to keep him in that situation

As a practical being i do agree with you. Our last hope is with the specialist vet that has agreed to see him personally, he runs a animal hospital and a well know vet in the country. Might be our last hope as he is the person that told us to get another blood report done. So next few days will be important.

Hoping it can be sorted, but if she isn't eating at all its very worrying indeed.

With a creatinine of 10, your dog has serious kidney disease. Most vets would diagnose your dog in kidney failure. The creatinine does not even begin to rise until at least 80% of the kidney mass is diseased. He also has some liver problems with an elevated ALT and ALP, this is why he is biting people. From a conventional medicine perspective, your dog needs to be in the hospital with IV fluid therapy for a minimum of 72 hours, perfusing the kidneys in hopes of stopping the process. After 72 hours the blood work should be repeated to see if the kidneys are responding to therapy. If the CRT is not down under 5 at that time and the dog has not improved clinically, it is not likely that he will. Sorry, but this is what is happening. Good luck.

His creatinine level is 20now. Hemoglobin and platelets, cbc are ok now. We took him to a hospital and they gave opfion of dialysis but it might be lifetime kind of situation.
