Yup I was on a drip too..

I have suffered with a spasmodic colon in the past, not so much now thankfully, but when it 'attacks' the pain is incredible and doubles you over, that is also in the lower middle area, but I too would go with appendix.

Charlotte's burst when she was 2 1/2 yr old!! but once it's out, that's it.

They will find out the cause soon, so don't worry, send your friend all our good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Debs mum has just rung again, she is being kept in for more tests, but is comfortable. The doctor is sure it is that severe gastroenteritis (sp) but not possitive, she can't have a bed cos they don't have one so she is in A&E. She is trying to get some sleep now, bless her

Hi all, just an update

Debs is still in hospital, they think now that its her apendix, she has been in pain all night, managed to get some sleep today. We are waiting on the surgeon going to see her now, possibly operating going to see her tomorrow
