FAB Eileen, it looks amazing Hope you left those bamboos in their pots in that ground though?? I learned that mistake in our other house, cos once they start, there's no stopping them. I'm loving your garden, all of it, but then you work so hard out there, and spend so much, it's sooo worth it to have it looking like it does.

Fantastic change there, I echo Helena leave bamboo in pots or plant into larger pots and the then plant they are ******s to shift and take over and send out runners to annoy you.

Hi everybody, I didn't notice this thread before. I've got a big front yard n' so many plants I ran out of room. Plus I work in a lawn and garden department store.

Definitely watch out for bamboo. My Dad used to have a jungle of it in the yard and cursed it regularly. Another one is ANY mint plant. I wouldn't even put a pot of it near the ground...the roots would probably crawl through the patio

Really mint plants smell nice, they're great in tea, they make great tea but four little sprigs can spread for miles and choke off other plants in their path.

After what they've said about it spreading, any chance you can dig 'em up and put them in giant pots and bury them again, otherwise I can see OH having to take a machete to them to find you if you get caught in the middle of them!!!

Laughing at the thought of OH taking part in any gardening activity TW...I think not Yep I guess first spell of dry weather I'll be out there resurrecting the bamboos Geez, took me forever digging those holes, due to all the rock in there Not relishing the idea but it'll be worth it in the long run,no doubt.Grateful the girls let me know, can do something about it before it becomes a pain
Oh...thunderstorm is here....brilliant,love them

Will send the girlies over to you, they like digging, also Tala and Tanika are enthusiastic diggers, they'll have it looking like a lunar landscape in no time at all
