How much would people recommend giving dogs? For example, would perhaps 200g per day be too much?

Cava has it for his anal glands, he's a Beardie about 25kg and I give him 3 teaspoons a day.

My personal opinion would be Caveat Emptor !

I love chocolate, but it very definitely is extremely bad for me!

As in everything, I always look to nature ... in this case ask yourself the question "would my dog eat regular amounts of bran in the wild". If you think the answer to be no, then you have your answer Kate.

I am always cautious of feeding any species-unnatural food.

If you are feeding a complete food I don't see the point in adding anything that would upset the balance of what is a 'balanced' recipe - fibre content is adjusted to suit dogs, therefore no need to add more, as it's just going to go straight through
