I'm so pleased!!

Took Hollie for a walk this evening, and I am so happy with her!

Some of you will know that she was attacked a few weeks ago and since has been harder to walk, seems to think all dogs will hurt her so has a go first, and last week she went absolutely beserk at a dog for no reason.

Well, we met a neighbour while out who was walking her 6 month old JR. Hollie has bever been good with white/light coloured dogs so this combined with recent events in my mind meant trouble. My neighbour is aware of what has happened to Hollie so was prepared.

There was a lot of noise from Hollie and a bit of a lunge, I pulled her back close and told her "no". My neighbour's puppy just stood there, not bothered in the slightest! Hollie quickly settled and we, the owners, stood and chatted for a good 10 minutes while all the time Hollie either sat with her back to the puppy or just looking at her, or around her. As we were about to say goodbye a man came down the lane with a GSD which looked very boisterous - the owner kept it on a very short lead, it had a growl and bark at Hollie, Hollie gave 3 small barks and then just looked - I felt so proud of her, even my neighbour said "well done Hollie!"

It really feels like I have my Hollie back!! :smt041

She has always been a bit funny with some dogs, probably always will be, but then I don't always like all people, that's just the way it is.

Great news Trish - glad Hollie seems to be getting over being attacked - it must have been very scary for her the poor girl. She sounds like she is coming on leaps and bounds though and you are both doing really well
