Just to add a few people I know who travel regulare have said the ferries will be checking.

So the 1st statement from Defra is a bit misleading

Defra won't be checking but the ferries will.

Glad you posted this. I've taken Loki on holiday to Ireland by ferry a couple of times. I might e-mail them to see what their stance is, thanks.
