Companion Dog Show today - Callander

Today we went to a Companion Dog Show in Callander, it was being held as part of the Callander World Highland Games. Callander is such a lovely place, not far from Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. If you're ever in the area, it's worth a visit. It has some nice wee shops and a cracking chippie! We had chips at lunch time before heading to the show.....Yum.

The weather was fine. Cloudy, but warm and quite humid at times. I still managed to get a bit of sunburn!

In the breed classes Molly got a 4th in AV Sporting and a 3rd in AV Open. In the novelty classes she also got a Special in both the Fastest Down and Leave the biscuit as most dogs went down fast and all dogs left the biscuit!

Roxy got 2 Specials as well, same as above, and also 5th in Best Crossbreed, though I think she was robbed in this class and also the Best Rescue class as it was mostly kids she was picking. They were big classes though and she had to hurry through the novelty ones as she spent so much time on the breed classes!

Anyway, we met up with some good friends and their dogs and had a lovely day. Though Roxy was rather vocal today for some reason, she isn't usually as vocal! This was in between mooching for attention from all and sundry.

I also tried the heelwork to music lesson class, but Molly decided she wasn't doing a thing in the ring. Typical. But out of the class she did her things fine! That's Molly....

Lots of photos to follow tomorrow.

Well done . I meant to go to this show today as I really enjoyed it last year. I started back at work this week after 9 weeks off , and slept in and missed the show . I suppose that's what I get for working nightshift .
Looking forward to your pics of the lovely Molly and Roxy .

Here are some of the photos from our day out yesterday (there are still more to come!). As you can see, the classes were really big!

These are mostly the breed classes, pictures of the fun classes coming soon:

A couple of the fun classes:

"Let's show them up Molly!.....Aye, ok then Roxy! What mischief can we get up to? Hmm...."

My friend Yvonne and her lovely wee Sheltie, Khandi, getting placed in Prettiest Bitch! Which was a huge class. Khandi is very pretty though. I've got a photo of the three dogs still to upload.

More photos soon!
