How many friends do your dogs have?

I was out earlier walking Rocky and I was just thinking about all of his friends and wondering whether he has enough and whether he needs more socialisng or not - so I thought I'd ask you guys how many friends your dogs have to make a better judgement!

Ok, his bestest friend who he sees almost every night is Henry the Beagle! (about 4yrs old I think)

He often sees and plays with two Staffs in the daytime, Dwohi (Male 11yrs) and Mari (Female 3yrs).

He used to play loads with a Jrt (6months ish older than Rocky) called Jim who we havent seen for a while tho!

He's played with two Taffys, one was a BC who we havent seen for ages (was about 6 months older than Rocky) and the other is a staff cross who is about 9!

He's played a few times with Tammy, a 15 month old staff cross and her little BC brother.

He played with two Cocker Spaniels recently (1 7yr old male and a 3 yr old female)

He made friends with a 7 month old male Rottie called Boo yesterday and they had a brilliant time.

He played with another staff cross 'rescued' 3 yr old ish female - although he did bark at her first (she was huge), but then loved playing.

Hes played with other dogs as well but they have been one offs as we've not seen them again.
How many 'friends' do you doggys have?
Please let us know so we can see if we need to get out more lol!

Snorri-dog doesn't really have any friends he's so insanely jealous that he tries to chase other dogs away, in case they try to steal his people! Of course, it's all hot air, because he doesn't have the bottle to do anything but snarl - only his older brother Jacob runs away, he has even less bottle than Snorri!

Kali, on the other hand, greets all other dogs as potential "best friends". Sadly, many of his oldest friends are either too old to play much, or are dead His oldest friend is a Golden Retriever bitch called Kelly, but she's 12+ and getting arthritic now (Kali is 11 in two weeks), she was his best pal when he was a puppy.

His beach-bum pal Dylan (Heinz Terrier!) was killed by two rogue dogs in the village - he and Kali used to go right along the beach and go deaf.

Jody (BC bitch) and Kali's brother Ben were PTS for worrying sheep a few years back. His girlfriend Kim (BC bitch, a proposed mate) died having another dog's puppies , so he hasn't had a lot of luck!

However, he likes to play with his brothers Jacob and Merlin, a Komondor bitch called Storm and any other dog that can keep up with him! The bigger the better, especially a St Bernard called Haakon (doesn't see him very often, though).

Snorri-dog, however, continues to regard them all as affection-thieves

We are a very doggy family so Charlie regularly see's his doggy "cousins" a yellow lab,Rhodesion ridgeback,Bull terrier and a collie cross.
We have friends with 2 labs he plays with for the weekend once a month and I'd say every other day we see someone we know in the park to play with ,mainly his giant MastifxDane best friend. Charlie loves all dogs and so far no problems whatsoever.
Sounds to me like Rocky is very sociable

Oz used to have a few at obedience classes, in particular a Beauceron bitch who he loved. Since his tramatic ordeal in kennels (where they allowed him to get very ill and the owners dogs also attacked him ) - he isn't sociable anymore and is a fear aggressor. It is so sad as we spent ages on socialising him as a pup and he did very well in ringcraft and obedience and was very playful with other dogs, since the ordeal he isn't the same dog

Now he's a bit of a Billy No Mates sadly. But at least Mum & Dad love him and play with him!

Blackie has loads of friends, I suprised he has because when he meets anyone, he starts barking, his backend is swinging to and thro, he looks really angry, until someone speaks to him then the tail is wagging and runs up to them.

At the moment he has the following friends,

Border terrrier 2 doors away.
Lakeland terrier next door.
2 Cocker spaniels he meets on a morning in the field.
1 golden Labrador - as above
Dalmation
JRT
4 Border Collies
1 heinz
3 cats
1 chicken - well he usually hides out of the way (Blackie, not the chicken)

and about 100 children, mostly infants school age, we get them grouped around the back garden fence, wanting to stoke and play with him.
