My dear old boy Tai has crossed over the Bridge … in his 12th year. 3 weeks ago last Sunday we had to take him to the vet for his last journey on this mortal coil, where he was quietly and peacefully sent across the Rainbow Bridge to join Hal and Tawney (my good friend June’s beloved friend).

He died in my arms and just went to sleep – the vet and the nurse were wonderfully kind and his ashes have been flung to the 4 winds up at Eydon in Northamptonshire, in the pet cemetery there.

Run free my old friend … Ben misses you terribly and now has to sleep with us on our bed every night else he howls the place down … you will thoroughly approve of this, I know!!

Thank you Lynn ... it's a shame, but I cannot in all honesty feel little more than joy and gratitude that he had such a good life ... with us and many others. He was a delight to own, very few faults (aside from the 5 chickens he killed, but we don't mention them). I miss him dreadfully, and so does Ben, but he was dang nearly 12 years old and his very last day of walkies on this planet he chased his ball with Ben and ate a huge dinner. He went down so quickly, within a matter of hours his suffering was over. You cannot ask for better than that.

I hope the old git is causing mayhem over the bridge, chasing chickens and cats and all sorts!
