Hamster People

Has anyone ever bought a normal cage and then cut out a section to add in tubes?

Do you think it would be a good/bad idea to cut out a section to add some tubes to come out of the cage and link to another one? Has anyone ever done this before?
and wot do u use??

heres Buffys cage

A friend of mine did, she put together a fantastic network of purpose made connecting tubes and boxes which she ran around her living room in non-traffic areas, going behind the sofa, around the base of a massive corner plant pot, that sort of thing. It looked amazing for her hammy and kept her entertained watching him go on his wanders

If you have the right tools, I imagine you could. Though you can buy cages form Habitrail that have sides where you can add on limitless additions. I used that for my hamster and he loved it!

Aww Buffy is adorable. You should be able to connect more areas If you make a hole in the plastic base part, do it really slowly and it won't break. Or use a heated screwdriver so it just melts
