Friday 19th April 2024

Morning all. On Church duty again today but I think that will be the last as I think the daughters are back from their holiday next week. I won't be sorry as I hate the smell of smoking and sadly they all do. Anyway hope you all have a good day today. It is a bit grey out but not cold. The film line today is: Can I see an elephant fly? Probably too much wine. ha! ha!

Good morning Brenda hope you have a good day

The film I think is Dumbo.

Lovely here at the moment but how long for is anyones guess. Teazle walked and now a quick coffee before the housework. School run this afternoon.

Take care everyone

Morning brenda, Sue and all to follow.
It's a bit damp here.
Tidying the caravan today and most likely selling it. Then some shopping.

brenda not pleasant walking into a house where people smoke, enjoy your time with Church.
Sue hoping the roads are good for you later.
Chris good to hear you are happy with the dryer.
griff I hope your leg is healing well.
Kazz. the letter is still sitting on the table.
Not sure still whether to send or not yes it will rake up the hurt again, but I feel sure they are sitting there not at all aware of the hurt that has been caused through their bad management of the referral.
I guess for me I do not want it to open dialogue but maybe I need them to apologise for their delay and getting the whole referral appointment wrong it just feels they really do not care.
I did it with Dillon when the vet we had used for 8 years let us down badly when we needed them the appointment was hard but I felt I got closure.
I would not want a meet but I would like recognition of their mistake.

Strange you talking about vets Lynn. I was with a friend this morning whose cat had just died in front of her and the vets were awful. I sat with her for ages and talked about all sorts, gave her a hug. I am not a huggy sort of person but she needed it. Anyway I am off to see to Church. Looks like rain so he might not get a walk with me today. He will have to wait for his owner who will be back at 3. I'm not due round there until 1.30ish anyway. Have a good afternoon folks.

Good afternoon all

Rain most of the morning. Bright and sunny this afternoon so car this morning and then a run out to give Ted his walk when the rain let up. Blimey, the northerly wind was blowing hard so not exactly warm on our run

Hubby likes Bruce Willis films and I can tolerate them, but he put one on this afternoon, promptly fell asleep and I watched the worst Bruce Willis film I've ever seen. Blimey it was bad

Afternoon all

Brenda I agree totally with the smoke smell I can smell it on people as I pass. But thats because I am a none smoker I suppose and we rarely smll or encounter it in public places now. Hope all went well with Church.

Lynn I totally understand you wanting closure, and making them aware that what they did caused "distress unwanted and not neccesary to you as their client, and that maybe they could review their practice or procedure so that that diminishes the risk for their next client. Selling the caravan, a large step but equally as you say a solid roof and walls is a good option. LOL When does your building work start?

Chris 1 billion per cent with you hate Bruce Willis type action films. So pleased your new dryer works so well my sister recently had a new one and said loads of difference but thinking about how much they are used I suspect they age quickly.

Sue Sounds like a really nice day, any news on your daughter in law moving here "forever family" when does the youngest start school?

Griff Hope all is well with you and yours.

I put a map of the world on the wall this evening. I then gave Sue a dart and said whatever country you hit with the dart I will pay for a two week holiday in that country. Sue threw the dart. Looks as if those two weeks will be behind the fridge.

The old dryer was over 10 years old so probably worked better when it was new. I hope this one lasts as long (or longer if possible)
