No dog I've had had any formal training.
I think, at leat in the case of the dogs I had including the current beast, they observe and learn.

For example, when I'm puting on my walking boots Max knows the score and lies quietly on the hall floor. We go out. He sometimes gives a glance to make sure it is left or right. We'll walk for an hour or so. No verbal commands required.

I'm sure formal training could get him to do more things but I neither need nor want him to be other than what he now does.
Which bit did I not read?

More a case of reading something I didn't write.

but you frequently mention that dogs will improve given time,
I think I did so once. I wouldn't call that "frequently"

Perhaps you could enlighten me as I'm always willing to learn something new?
We have fixed length lead.
By loose I thought you meant one of those extendable/retractable ones.

Or perhaps you making assumptions of what I think.
How the hell can I read what you didn't write?

I used the word frequently as you tend to post on any training issue that they'll grow out of it, give it time or whatever. Most people have already given it time or tried everything they can think of before asking for advice. Many state their dog is fully trained but refuses to come when called, has no bite inhibition etc and in one case stated their dog has mental issues. So clearly fully trained to one is different to fully trained to another. No one is saying your dog needs help, you didn't ask for it, but many dogs are not like that so I don't understand why you take umbridge with my posts, and in the nicest possible way don't care either, I will continue to post and if my posts irk you I suggest you ignore them

That was my point. I didn't frequently claim what you claimed I claimed.
You were incorrect. Just let it go,

No such tendancy on my part.

I have not the slightest problem with someone, even you, disagreeing with an opinion I have expressed.

But I do I find it mildly irritating being inaccurately accused of something I didn't write.

Really? Even me?

I find nothing inaccurate in my posts whereas yours have a definite trend.
It's already gone.
Perhaps you should try to let things go rather than taking every comment someone makes as being aimed at you, when nothing could be further from the truth.

Saying I frequently say something that I don't frequently was inaccurate.

Yours were aimed at me. No problem. I just like to stick to the truth.

Truth? do you remember the nonsensical posts you put on the debate thread? You took offence at my posts and I pointed out different rules applied in the debates section. Your response was infantile at best and yet I stuck to the topic and politely asked you to do the same but you continued with some nonsense about the moon and green cheese or something equally absurd.
So think what you like I really don't care.
