Sun is out in Seattle - lets go to the beach!!

Well the sun came out briefly and it didn't rain all day.. so off we went to the beach.

This is a State Park and it is an old WW2 fort, built to protect the West Coast from Japanese invasion, there are alot of them around here which never saw much action but now make wonderful state parks most of which have coast line and camping!!

We did some beach walking, some trail walking and some woods, and had a picnic halfway round!!

Anyway this is the Puget Sound with the Cascade Mountain range in the background, covered in snow!


Mount Rainier - 14,500ft active volcano (so if i go missing one day it blew)

We stopped and had our sandwiches, then Daisy decided the grass was too wet to sit on so she got on the table - she is so norty!

Seattle - Puget Sound...

Debbie, have you read "Snow Falling on Cedars"? I loved it but never saw the movie, whereas my sister who lives in Seattle did and said the movie was nothing like the book.
