am in so much pain,anyone got any advice??-boil

i have a boil come up
it is right in the middle of my cleavage
at the moment it is hurting so much,it hurts to lift my arm and is throbbing

anyone know what i can take or do to it till i can get to the docs on monday??

i only get them when i,m stressed or worried
and i start college thursday and am a little worried

I'll go with the opposite of J and say something hot...like maybe put a cotton wool ball in some hot water, as hot as you could stand on your skin, then hold it on there for a few mins (you might have to keep dipping the cotton wool to keep it hot enough) that might draw up some of the bad stuff to the top and help drain it off?

Sorry about the guess! mostly I just wanted to say I hope it doesn't hurt for too long

Try smearing it in Magnesium Sulphate Jackie then put a plaster over it as this will draw out the puss and reduce inflamation.You can get it from any chemist.

Ring NHSDirect ,they are really Helpfull or go on there website it will tell you the best way to cope with it. Hope you feel better soon

have sufferd for years with boils j ...to the point i have had many removed and am now quite scared mine seem to be on my lower back and inside tops of legs I normally have to get antibiotis but have cleared a few with magnisium sulphate from the chemist ...Hot water is good as well if you see a head coming up place a cotton wool pad on the boil with water as hot as you can stand it draws it up
ring me if you want anymore help .....am dealing with one like a golfball now as well xxx

Something warm/hot to draw it out............teabags, soaked & wrapped and placed on there could ease it............I suffered with many as a child and remember my Mum doing a tealeaf poltice for me, they are painful I do sympathise

Sounds painful Jackie. Take yourself off to the chemist and ask for a Kaolin poultice cream, it comes in a little jar and you can warm it up in the microwave, slap it on, and it will be gone in no time! Painful mind, but gone! I used it for a glass splinter I had once and it did the trick, fantastic stuff!
