Zen Monastery Dog!

Haha well hopefully the title has you curious!

I am planning to check out Gyobutsuji Zen Monastery. It is known for intense Zen meditation.

Problem is.... The abbot rescued a dog that kind of just showed up one day and loves it to pieces!

It is a border collie. I haven't had a dog in forever.

I was thinking maybe there are some great things that would be fun for his furry friend or that could help out monk that doesn't have access to a lot of funds?

Thanks guys!

Lovely dogs but then I would say that.........
Not just because I have one. But grew up with them. Sheep farm in Scotland....

What do they need? Food, water, and a lot of exercise to keep them active.

We also give ours flea drops, worm medicine, and his annual shots. We get him professionally groomed but we could just put him in the bath. He tolerates it but is a bit big to be lifted in and out.

I hope it works out as well for you as it did for us.

That sounds to be the general consensus lol

Someone recommended buying a vegetarian treat as the Abbot is vegetarian. Do you have any experience if Border Collies like these kind of treats and what might be of great quality?
