The challenge should you choose to accept it...

...is to tell me how the heck we're supposed to get a piddle sample from Cassie without it hitting the ground first.

The vet has given us another lot of AB's for her cystitis and wants a urine sample which we normally get from the yard after she's gone. This time, however, he wants it straight from her so the ground can't contaminate it.

John has tried 3 times today. First time misjudged the placement of the saucer by 1/2 inch.

Second time, she growled at him and showd him her teeth

Third time she piddled all over his hands but not on the saucer

So come on people, tell us your secrets. What do you use and how do you manage it? Don't forget how little Cassie is and she gets really close to the ground to piddle.

If I can't get it in the morning, I'm taking her up to the vets and letting the clever git do it himself!

tray........I remember trying to get a sample from Fudge when she was little.....we tried for two days then got one outside the vets when she squatted and was distracted.....maybe that is the trick...take her somewhere with loads of smells where she scent marks!

Thanks Rachel. John tried that today. All the way to the beach and it didn't work. Little madame!

I've used an old ice cream container fairly successfully although Cassie may be too small for that?

You think you've got problems we have to get a sterile urine sample from one of our guinea pigs so the vet can send it off.
