Generally, Itchy skin is a common condition in most dogs that is caused due to various reasons. It could be due to poor nutrition, allergies, yeast infections or insect bites. Sometimes, dogs tend to scratch until the skin breaks into sores, leading to infection. There are some home remedies in this situation like bathing your dog with plain cold water will help in relieving the symptoms. Don't use hot or warm water. Use a shampoo which is oatmeal based.
