Public transport or car-what would you do? Please help.

Ishka has her shoots for the ad that Azz posted on Wednesday and Friday. They need her at 3.30pm to 11pm. I dont know whether to drive or take the train. I drove last time but it was rush hour and it was NIGHTMARE. It took 2 hours to do the 40 min journey.

I have to travel from Liverpool to Manchester.

I have two options, drive to Manchester or drive to a train station in Liverpool and get the train to Manchester.

I am really tooing and froing about what do...her is an outline

Car
Pros - simple, door to car park and short walk to studio
-no waiting for train or risking missing train or train delayed etc
-can leave at any time, no waiting in Manchester for train with baby dog in the cold and wet
-more comfortable for dog

cons
-may get stuck in traffic
-may get lost
-might not be any parking spaces

Train
pros - no worrying about traffic or finding a parking space.
-no getting lost
-no driving after a long day

cons - might miss it or it might be delayed or cancelled
-dog has never been on a train
-further walking for dog from station to studio
-last train is usually a bit dodgy

There are pros and cons for each but they are balancing so much so I really dont know whats best. What would you lot recommend. Help would really really be appreciated especially from people who know manchester.

Drive, film shoots are very long, very boring, can be very cold and very busy.

If you take your car you can put her in to chill for the majority of the time (which is hanging around) to relieve stress and prevent her becoming knackered due to sensory overload.

I would drive, it takes a lot to get me on public transport

As for the getting lost, could you borrow a sat nav from a friend or even take a friend with you as a map and sign reader?

If you need to be there at 3:30, yes traffic will be building up a bit but it is not rush hour as such.

If your dog is used to being crated, take it with you so she can rest and chill in there if the car park is too far away.

I would drive - its a shame you are not in my area as I would happily lend you my sat nav.

Hope the shoot goes well!
