Bernard Manning - deceased

I heard on the news that Bernard Manning has died.

I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, but thought it worth a mention

He was never my cup of tea but I am sorry to hear it all the same. My father was born in the same district of Manchester as Bernard's nightclub so I always felt a small connection.

No I didnt much care for him, but he made a success of his Embassy club. My dad used to frequent his club on the capacity of police business and he had little respect for the man. I'm sure there will be some who will miss him. Not me Im afraid.

I loved him - I can understand why others did not like him at all. I feel terribly sad, may he rest in peace.

I always remember him saying he'd started up his own brand of shampoo.

Wash a f**k off

that made me laugh.
