I'm sure you won't allow anyone to take your dog without visiting their home first, right? Also make sure you get proof it IS their home - bills, letters, anything with their name and address on.

I would urge you to contact breed rescues or failing that, a general rescue if there is a good one in your area. There are far too many people using dogs for dog fighting and also breeding repeatedly.

I would also urge you to contact breed rescue, as they are specialists in finding the right home for the husky/malamute types of dog.

If you google husky rescue and malamute rescue, you will find the telephone numbers for the various rescues.

Good afternoon Pagan,
Thank you for your reply, i have phoned several trusts and rescue homes, at the moment all are full. I am having difficulty re-homing Diesel. It is breaking my heart, if you can help, i would really appreciate it. My children and i are crying everyday, just knowing what we have to do. If i didn't have to leave the house within the next month, i would look for somewhere that would except him. Please help if you can. x Lynne

Can you not put an ad in paper or even vets asking for a foster home, offering to pay for food etc for say 6 months till you get back on your feet.

it may be worth contacting pet sitting business some do it for £20 a day ,i believe the following business owns huskies

Been to the vets, and so far nothing. Unfortunately, i cant afford £20 a day. Although, i am more than willing to continue to pay for all food and insurance.

Try the breed rescues again - tell them you just want foster care and that you will pay for food and insurance. They may be able to find you a foster home

How is he with other dogs? And how is he to be left alone? Does he have a crate? We have 2 dogs, and recently fostered a male collie as he would have been pts else. We would have kept him if it wasn't for the costs as we have bills to pay off after buying house etc. Depending on what OH says we may be able to help...

Can be left for about 7 hrs, really good with other dogs. Excellent with children. The only thing he does is...when you come in, if you don't give him attention or take him out, once you have left, he'll find your shoe, or whatever he can find and take it out into the garden or chew it. That's the only time he chews anything. It's like he's saying, "You have left me alone all day, then you come in and don't walk me...I don't think so." I have a lady calling tonight who may be able to help. My fingers are crossed. x
