2 wounds :(

Yesterday I noticed a wound on Teagans back leg, it looked quite sore and she was licking it.
I've washed it in hibiscrub, and was going to phone the vets on Thursday morning (couldn't do it today as I had hospital myself).
Today it's looking more 'raised', and to me it looks like a lump with a wound on it rather than being swollen

She was really having a go trying to lick it, so I sat next to her to stop and, and boy does she have a strong head!

But then I noticed something on her front paw pad
It looks like another histiocytoma
She's had a couple before on her feet, and they are a nightmare to heal as pads can't be stitched up

I'm so worried about both of these though
I'm going to set my alarm so I can phone the vets first thing and try to get in tomorrow.

Not sure whats going to happen, cos if she needs an operation, recovery will be longish as she doesn't heal well, and i've got a few hospital stays coming up

Big love x0x

Isochick (sister) will be looking after her, but it's going to be even harder if she's had an op

Vets at 11am, so please cross your fingers both lumps are nothing serious.
I've got enough stress at the moment without worrying about my baby!

She kindly bled all over my bed last night!

Aww, sorry to hear this

Fingers crossed it isn't what you think it is and perhaps is something that will heal quickly? I do hope so.

Hugs to you and Teagan, do let us know how you get on? xx

Thanks everyone.

Am on a bit of a downer

The vet thinks it's an abcess, and has given Teagan antibiotics for 10 days. If it doesn't clear it up, they will operate soon after - as because it's on a joint, it will already be dificult to close. (If it gets worse in mean time I'm to go back).

The lump on her foot is probably a histiocytoma, and they will remove that if/when they have to operate on her other leg.

But other news.....the vet checked all her lymph nodes and the ones in her back legs are enlarged - to be expected to a certain degree, but the one in her right leg (the leg without the sore) is MASSIVE.

I requested a fine needle aspiration, and should have the results in 7-10 days

Cost me £92 today!

Just to let you all know, the vet phoned me at 7:30pm to say the needle aspiration came back and was negative for cancer

We are going to keep our eye on the size of the nodes, and perhaps repeat the aspiration at some point, but at least thats 1 piece of good news!
