Raw feeding, good for skin conditions?

Does anyone have experience of a raw food diet to improve skin conditions?

My bulldog has terrible skin irritation (bless her cos she never moans about it) and we've tried lots of remedies, vets advice/treatments and bought her special bedding but nothing has had any positive affect on her skin.

A friend mentioned a raw food diet could help, has anyone tried this on a dog with a severe skin condition?

Me and Ruby thank you in advance for any advice you can offer

Have a look here:

Lozzibear's Jake in particular.

It can help improve skin problems as it has none of the toxins and stuff that are put into kibble and other dog foods.. but unless you try it you never know.

I'd say yes, its definitely worth a try. Do a bit of reading up first though and ask away on here in the raw feeding section if there's anything your unsure of before you begin.

My dog had really good health improvements after being switched to raw.

Well, it can`t hurt can it? What`s she fed now?
You could feed one meat group at a time to check if she`s sensitive to any?

My last dog was terrible itchy and his coat really dull - within 2 weeks of raw feeding his scratching stopped and he developed a coat that went way past shiny to gleaming

Switching to raw helped my lot.

Jed constantly had an itchy muzzle and he used to scratch it with his front paws to the point where he'd make it sore. He doesnt do that now he's on raw.

Flynn had really bad skin and coat. He too would scratch and nibble various parts of his body and he'd have bald patches, sores, scabs, dandruff etc - he used to look a mess.
Switching to raw has improved that immensely but he still does scratch, think it may be a learnt behaviour though now. I make him stop whenever I see him at it and he seems to be improving even more.

Raw feeding did wonders for Jake... he suffered terribly when on kibble, and the improvement is just amazing!

I always think it is worth a try You have nothing to lose

What toxins are put into kibble then?

People are putting poison into dog food?
