Air your Pet Hates

I was having a conversation earlier with someone about this.

Mine are......

When people yank and drag a dog when on its lead......ever heard that coughing choking noise the dogs makes

When the owner hits the dog for not coming back to them....well would you go back

Leaving a dog in the garden all day, either chained up or walking free but the poor dog just paces up and down and cries all day and worse when the dog is out all day and the owners are in the warm

People who keep buying/gaining dogs and keep rehoming them when the going gets tough or the mood takes them....only to go out and buy/gain another

My biggest pet hate is people not picking up after their dog. If you could see what I have to pick up there is no excuse for anyone else!!!

Dogs being left to wander all day and night, especially when there are not people or dog friendly!!

People buying dogs, not researching them and then moving them on and then getting another
People not cleaning up after their dogs and its getting worse around here, I always carry poo bags, why can't anyone else?
People who know my dogs better than me!! Don't you just love the advise they give you

People who don't walk their dogs. Walking your dog is part and parcel of having a dog and they should all get outdoors (beyond the garden!).

People who want long haired dogs then can't be bothered to maintain the coat. I have the same clients come in time and time again with their dog's coats all matted. It drives me nuts!

People who think that dogs cannot be trained beyond puppyhood.

People who refuse to allow their dogs to socialise and then wonder why they are aggressive or timid.

People who make hurtful comments about other people's breeds of choice. I've only had Rogue for five weeks and I'm sick of all the anti JRT comments already.

I could go on but I've got work to do!

My pet hates:

People getting dogs when they really wanted a child - and dumping the dog when they fall pregnant.

Putting a dog to sleep because it growled at the toddler.

People not giving any kind of training at all and screaming when the dog doesn't behave.

Anyone buying a dog to make them look "hard"

Ooooh, I like a good whinge -OK let`s see how many people I can annoy

Flexi-leads Flipping things should be banned

People who never let their dogs off lead because they can`t be bothered to teach them recall. No I don`t mean peeps with genuine problems!

People who call their dogs name dozens of times and expect the dog to magically know what they want. Bonzo. Bonzo! Binzo? BONZO BONZO!!!!!!!!!! Bonzo boooonzo etc

Little girls who show off by squealing like stuck pigs when they see my dogs. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Ignorant mothers who object to me telling their little princesses to get a grip.

People hitting their dogs when they finally come back to them.

Loose dogs allowed to irritate my onlead one.
Owners who have no clue where their dog is and where it is pooping as they are walkign half a mile in front of it

People who walk their dogs without leads on pavements along roads - drives me insane, I nearly ran a dog over last week as it stepped off the pavement infront of my car. The owner was a good 20 feet behind it and didnt even appear that bothered. grr..

The amount of people who let their dogs poop and dont pick up, but more specifcally on the pavement right in the middle of it so that the buggywheels go right through it, and/or as soon as you go through the gate at the park there is a dog poo right in front of you .....beside the bucket.

The lack of poo bag dispensers and poo buckets around here - perhaps if there was more there would be less dog poo.


the amount of people that cross the road when they see my dog coming they dont know what they are missing !!!

Yes the Poo thing....I had words with a lady yesterday....I picked up our poo....and she insisted I'd missed some...IT WASN'T OURS

My son said yesterday....Mom its not the kids so much, as the parents that object to what your saying

Everytime I thought of a pet hate others had mentioned it, so I'm just going to say, all of the above.
Especially all the poo ones, absolutely no excuse and that includes throwing the full bags into the trees

All of the above and also...

people who leave their dogs outside supermarkets/post offices etc and complain when someone steals them
