Dry skin

Hi.....my 8 year old cross breed (staff X collie) has dry skin, especially on her back legs. She has been diagnosed with a hypothyroid and is on leventa..... But can any one recommend a good moisturising shampoo? or is there any benefit In me rubbing a bit of coconut oil onto her back joints where it is particularly dry?

Tia

Hello Claire I would avoid shampooing unless it is absolutely necessary .
Shampoo can add to the drying of the skin caused by your dogs condition.

Washing in plain water can remove excess dirt from the coat.
