home made irish cream

this is lovely with xmas comming up, much cheaper, and I think better, plus you can add as much whisky as you like. yum yum
(robs OH by the way)

in a large jug dissolve 3 heaped teaspoons of instant coffee in a little boilling
water. Add a mug of whisky (or to taste) whisk in a large tin of condensed milk and large tub of single cream
you can use elmlea cream and it will last a bit longer (ha ha)
put it in a screw top bottle and shake before pouring
you can leave it in the jug but, if there's any left you may get a skin on it

you can use cheap supermarket whisky

doesn't last too well as there are no real preservatives in it but, once tasted
won't last long anyway

ps Rob said it still isn't snowing
it tried earlier but, didn't come to anything

this works well with dark rum too

Yes it does taste the same and if you find it too thick when you're making it, just add milk til it's the consistency you want. I tend to make it thinner than the bought stuff, and stronger
