mini she is a truly lovely bird,a very good talker and vey loving, but she hates any bird that goe,s on the sawdust in the sleeping part, she even growls at us
the other birds are big enough to defend themselves and the quails are shut out of the sleeping bit(they have their own house)
but somehow one got in and she killed it

Sorry to hear about the quails Jackie. I didn't realise that birds would do that. So how many are left now?

we still have 11 amanda

and yes birds can be very funny
pico,s male mate was killed just before we moved here and the previous owner wasn,t sure who had killed him,but after the quail was killed we can be quite sure it was pico

she really is a lovely bird but just guards the sleeping quaters
we are thinking of also moving her out to a avairy of her own

Pico is another stunning bird, I love her colours.

Will you have to split all the birds or will it just be Pico who has to be isolated? (Would you have to keep Pico outside on her own or could she go into the house with you?)

pico.s colours are amazing amanda
she is purple underneath

pico will go in a avairy on her own,she can,t really come in the house as she has always lived outside and i think it would be cruel to suddenly bring her indoors
she will be fine on her own as she has all the other avaries around her(my macaw jaffa lives alone)
they talk to each other thru the wire
we are also getting a sun conure that someone don,t want and that will live alone too

I bet Pico will love talking to Jaffa Glad that all the others will be safer too.
Ican't wait to see pictures of the 'sun conure' as I've never seen one of those either
