Camping for the first time

I am going to a motor racing festival in september for a weekend, now normally I would look for a hotel/b&b room nearby but with the amount of people on here who camp I though why not. I am not going to be pitching my tent anywhere (like some on here) but I have found a site with all mod cons.

I love camping and have several tents, my favourite is my pop up one which takes about 5 secs to put up lol!

OH and I are going camping in September too, me for the first time since childhood. I'm not really that fussed on the idea (I like private showers and loos) but Chris is keen, and we're a bit skint after the kitchen for a real holiday

Here's hoping it stops raining before September

We go to stock car racing all over the country and just pitch our tents in the pits next to the van..

Only had problems once... about 4 years ago in Taunton..

Sorted him right out though!!!

Coming from a total snob who like her creature comforts, I fell in love with camping when I went to the N.I show in June. The very thought of sleeping under the stars, being eaten alive by any bug with teeth, really didn't appeal to me. Now, I'm looking for a huge tent, or better still, a caravan to go camping. I love the freedom it gives you. It may not have all the mod cons, but it brings back so many memories for me, and those can't be beaten
