we are going to meet a sibe bitch today, the welfare lady said though that this bitch has had dermodex mange, which worries me a little as i have 3 bitches here already, she said this mange isn't catching but i still worry as my sibe mishka has zinc deficiency too & has pills for it. shes black/ white, not sure how old but i think shes an adult. will chat to the vet about this dog later today i think just to check my dogs won't be at risk if i decide to take her on, she loves other dogs, needs apparently a non stress , quietish life to help clear up the mange i was told by the welfare lady. will let you know how i get on later.

All dogs carry demodex, they are born with it, it can take hold when a dog is run down or under stress (hence the stress free home required). It can be cleared up easily but it does take time. It is not catching unlike sarcoptic mange.One of our rescue Boxers came in with a terrible case of demodex and we saw a skin specialist at Sowerby Bridge. I can check back and find out what meds we used for him if it will help your vet. PM me if you need to know what we used.

Heres a pic of the poor sibe girl, coat coming through after her mange problem, a very loving & kissy girl, black/ white with brown eyes, very pretty, she looks rough on this phone pic as shes been through alot & had the mange too,we will meet her again tomorrow with our 3 dogs too
