Vets again - Also microchip moved

Back to vets with jess yet again and after nearly 2 months jess has managed to open her scar wound again.

Unbelievable really, clipped it, cleaned it etc and all should heal again, otherwise we are back to the elizabethan collars.

Anyway whilst there asked them to check her microchip. When she had mri scan i was told it can damage microchip and to check if it still works.

So tonight i got him to check it, up, down, then it bleeped.

Its moved to her bum

The vet and i had a good giggle. He said he had never seen one travel so far, i said if its going to happen then it just has to be jess!!

Varg's has moved down his left front leg, vet offered to replace it and I think I may, I am not sure people will take so much time to find it.

Varg is the only one who I had done as a pup and he is the only one who's chip has moved, vet expressed the opinion that they are more likely to move in pups, did not enlarge on the theory.

I've heard of a dog who had a chip that moved and it ended up on the top of their head. They had a note added to their ID tag to say where it was.

As far as i am aware they are all put in by shoulder blades, but have heard them travel to shoulders or leg.

The oddest case I heard was one of the Greek Rescue dogs. He was microchipped then later had to have a leg amputated. The chip disappeared - presumably in the missing leg!

All mine have thier micro-chips in place, but Reah had a screw (on one of the plates in her legs) move now instead of being near the shoulder blade, it right down the bottom of the leg. Causing no problems, but it funny how these thing TRAVEL eh!
