I wouldn't recommend one of these, I looked into them a little, just on the net and asking questions on here and they appear to have very dubious origins, all the Dogsey members who've met any say they have poor temperament and I think that they are really hard to find over here.

If he has his heart set on a Spitz type what about a Keeshond? To quote the Dogsey breed profile; "In temperament and personality he is very much a ‘moderate’ Spitz - less independent, less dominant, less reserved, more outgoing, gentler, and more sensible than many related breeds."

I think i will print off some information about the Keeshond, the german spitz and the samoyed for them to look at and also supply them with some rescue info both breed rescues and the regular ones - battersea etc, thanks to everyone for your replys.
