My little dog absolutely loves tuna. I sometimes use it as a topper to her dry food. If you use tuna packed in oil, they get the benefits from that as well.

Hi Jack , tuna in oil is ok but make sure it is not in brine , dogs don't need any salt added to their diet.

Tuna and rice isn't a complete and balanced diet. Your would do better to feed a carefully formulated kibble and little else.

Yes tuna is fine to feed..but as mini says use the stuff in oil..

Also sardines or mackerel in oil or tomato sauce..

Forget the kibble!!

If you are concerned about vitamin and mineral content you can buy a powder called SF50 which is an animal supplement with all the vits and minerals you need. You can order it online from those online vet type places. I used this for Hedley when I was feeding him white fish and mashed potato whilst he was recovering from giardia. Everything else was going straight through!

i sometimes feed pilchards too, i like them because they are a more meaty fish than sardines. the only think is i have to put vicks vapour rub under my nose when i do breakfasts, the smell first thing in the morning makes me gag!
