Sora – 16 month old male Border Collie – DOB 12.12


Sora is a smooth coated tri colour - black, white and brown – 16 month old male Border Collie. His current owners have had him since he was just two months old and he has always been a much loved pet.

He celebrated his 1st birthday in December (2013) and has achieved a lot in his short life.



He has mastered sit, down, paw and high five and understands no, off and bed. Stay, heel & wait are a work in progress, but he is almost there and with his collie intelligence we don’t doubt that it won’t be long before they are mastered too!

Sora is also housetrained, can be left and is non-destructive. He is good both on and off the lead and comes when called. However, he isn’t used to travelling in a car and can be sick.

Sora is a very friendly and lively chap . He could live as an only dog as he does now or with another. He could also live with dog savvy children. He is welcoming of visitors, but sometimes barks at men – this will need to be worked on with men encouraged to give him treats! However he is not for a home with cats or small furries.

Sora is looking for a new home through no fault of his own, but due to his owner’s ill health. Whilst they will be very sorry to see him go, they feel that he would enjoy a more energetic lifestyle which they are now unable to offer him and he deserves no less. A home that can offer him regular exercise and continue with his training would be ideal.

It is clear from the photo's what a special dog Sora is and he deserves a special home .

I know someone who tragically lost her young Collie to Rainbow Bridge, would make a wonderful home and I will suggest Sora to her, but it maybe too soon.

Sora is no longer available for adoption. He is staying with his current owners and they are going to work at keeping him.
