KC is a four-year-old, male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who came to The Mayhew because his previous owners' circumstances did not leave enough time for him. He is very friendly with everyone he meets and loves children. He is good with other dogs and fairly good with cats once introduced. He travels well on public transport and is good in the car, though he may bark when the car is stationary. He can be left alone without any problems. He pulls on his lead and his recall is not excellent and he still has a tendency to jump up gently when meeting people. All these things can be dealt with in training classes, which he would enjoy.

KC loves sausages, pigs ears, playing with other dogs and, most of all, attention and affection. He likes to lie at your feet and sleep, or better still, to receive tickles and tummy strokes. Ideally KC is looking for a home with someone who is at home most of the time as attention is what he craves most. His new owner will need to have a lot of love to give to match what this little chap has to offer in return.

KC has an enlarged heart, which he is receiving treatment for and he will need to take one tablet daily for the rest of his life. The Mayhew will supply the tablets at cost price, which will be no more than 60p per day.
