Firefox and Avg

I would like to change my browser to Firefox and wanted to know if avg worked ok with this? and also once i've installed firefox would i need to reinstall avg?

I use AVG and Firefox. I dint need to re install.

cool i've just downloaded firefox but i've noticed when i search on google the wee green checks don't appear beside each search entry.
