There are medicated shampoos that your vet can prescribe to keep the reaction down. Also, a blood test can tell you if it is an inside allergen (dust, house mites) or an outside allergen (pollen, grass etc.).

Thank you! I'll ask about the blood test. We suspect it's outdoor allergies since it only flares up during warm weather here. During Fall/Winter, he's fine. I'm also going to try him on the Standard Process Antronex as well as their Canine Immune System Support. I've read good things about the Antronex - fingers crossed!! This little guy is such a blessing to me, and I want to do all I can for him.
