Cold Weather Payments

Just been looking on the Direct Gov website and it says about cold weather payments for folk claiming certain benefits, you can put postcode in to see if your area covered. Might be worth checking for if folk didn't know.

I've had 1 cold weather payment.
The temp has to be an avaerage of zero of below for a week - apparently it's only been that cold for a week.
I think it's been more than a week, but ohh well!

Due another one here, apparently, might be worth keeping an eye on website(Dgov) for any family or friends also just to check.

Shame old people who have worked all their lives (and still working at 69!) can't get this! Or can they? All they get is a low one off heating allowance.

Isn't Pension Credit different from the 'normal' state pension?
