A home maybe in June-ish

Well me and my OH due to circumstances are looking for another dog as I may have to take up more of a part time job (more than 2 nights a week) and as he is going in the Army/Marines Louie will be on his own, Benjie will be with his parents - OH's autistic brother is too attached for me to keep him and also he isn't easy for me to handle. Louie has never been a lone dog and I don't like having just one.

We are looking for:

A young bitch 2 - 4 years old
Pedigree or Mix - not really fussed, but prefer not to have a terrier.
Medium is preferred but I could take on a small hardy dog or a large dog.
Maintenance isn't a problem but would prefer a breed/mix that doesn't need to get a clip every month or so (fur breeds not hair)
Must be good with other dogs - a submissive female would be best.
A girlie without separation anxiety would be best.
Also an energetic dog who also knows how to relax.
A rabbit loving dog - cuddles not chase and kill, would be nice too - I do have 7 bunnies.
Good with Children - I don't have any but have a young niece and regularly visit places with children.

Erm - I sound really picky but there is reasoning for it.

So yes, around June time I will be able to re home a girlie who fits the above description...if there is one.

its best to be picky rather than get a dog and it be rong for you both and her having to go back.
Good look with your search

Forgot to mention:

Needs to be very tolerant - we have a puppy atm (11 months) and also a nervous DA dog who will be visiting but does generally get on with dogs after a few meets.

The bit about the terriers - we would consider a Staffie or an EBT and their crosses but again they would need to be very tolerant and very friendly, submissive would be best.

I think I would avoid terriers too if I wanted a rabbit-friendly dog! Good luck in your search.

Is he joining the Royal Marines or the Army? Has he started the application process yet? RM is very very very tough training, and lifestyle.

Keep an eye on Dogs blog, they often have suitable dogs on there x
