Bottom Rubbing (puppy has been wormed but still scoots?)

My puppy keeps rubbing her bottom along the floor, what does this mean? She was wormed last week, don't know if it's connected

Could possibly be a sign of blocked anal glands, your vet will be able to empty them for you & show you how to do it yourself should it need doing in the future.

Check what wormer has been used. Not all wormers will get rid of all worms. Can be a sign also as said of the anul glands being full but I have never known a young pup to have this.

I have used drontal wormer from the vets. I will keep an eye on her the next couple of days then take her the vets

Could be the anal glands but some dogs just do this after they have been, I have a bitch that has always 'wiped' but not alway where I would wish

When my dog was a puppy, he did this regular, took him to the vets to have his anal glands emptied and did not do it after this. (had to take him to the vets a few times to have this done ) but he seems to have grown out of it.

Ossie also does this,but after taking him to the vets,I was told that he didn't have worms neither did he need his anal glads done.Apparently some dogs do it sometimes (Ossie) some dogs always do it and some never.

Poppy does this, sometimes before she does a poo, sometimes after, sometimes just for the sheer hell of it She has her anal glands emptied on a regular basis and has always been wormed on a regular basis, so I just put it down to being one of her characteristics.

My Charlie does this too, not very often but always after going!
