It is a nuisance griff when things like this are not mentioned in the particulars.
We viewed a cottage while looking when we had to move this way. It was gorgeous inside and out. We walked through the door and had moved in.
I stepped out the back door and noticed a small side gate and asked why it was there. Agent then told us the back path ran all along the row the cottage we were viewing was end of terrace all other occupiers had access for their bins on bin day and the right to use it any time they chose.
Garden was wonderful and we met the neighbour who tried to convince us to buy and said we won't disturb you if you are in your garden and we use the path.
We had to walk away Dillon would of had to of been escorted from the patio area out the back door across the path into our garden. Would of been a a nightmare.
I gave the agent hell about it but they still marketed it without the information till it was eventually sold.

Hello Peeps, Lovely here now, sunny and warm. Apparently Kyla (my great granddaughter) said to her Mum yesterday, "we haven't had fog for a longtime, I like fog." Well she would have been happy today because we had quite thick fog earlier!

We have been out for a carvery to our usual pub in Torquay today. It has really gone down hill. The food wasn't all that special and quite cold. So we are on a mission now to find somewhere better

June don't you feel dreadful when you hear something like that Puts everything else into perspective.
Griff sounds like you will be doing research on beer like we will be doing on carveries!
Lynn I don't want to put a downer on things but I am quite relieved that you won't be having the Park home. There is something about them that always worries me.
Something will turn up.

Aw Lynn, thats such a shame, but another shared driveway would send you loopy I think
Thats awful about your carvery Nippy, same things happened here with the lovely pub everyone went to, changed hands and its got an awful reputation now. You'll find somewhere else but its nice to be able to know that you are going to eat nice food in a lovely atmosphere.LOL at the FogLover
Done a bit more painting.
Son is coming over and I said do you want tea and he said yes. I get a text when I'm up the ladder, saying will tea be ready for 5 he's done this before. So I am now stuck with eating at 5 when I don't normally eat till 7. Girls will end up having their tea late as got to do their veg yet. Not happening again though, because I won't invite him to have his tea, and if he mentions it I will say it will be between 6 and 7 (thats if he's very very lucky) Had to finish painting early, have a shower, tidy up and start cooking grrrrrrrrrrr

TW, i would have put bread and sausages and a frying pan out and said go for it Lol. If i am cooking at christmas when my brother comes home i either make a pasta bake and it can be heated whenever anyone is hungry in the microwave or i make a curry or bolognase.... same thing.
Lol bless Kyla, it was foggy here last night...and that was dead early on to. Hmmm is it a Toby Nippy? my mum used to go to a toby all the time with her friends, they changed the manager and things went down hill, she complained repeatedly and the emails got sent to the manager who basically hid them and ignored them!! she got hold of head office in the end and they gave her an £80 gift card Lol
Lynn, it would drive me bonkers turning up and finding major things had not been listed and a shared path!!! Hell no

Shame about the carvery Nippy Jen. Still fun finding another one.
We will let Kyla have the fog.
Naughty son June. Sometimes I don't think they take on board we might have a routine.
Paul or Beth have cut the annoying hedging back while we were out. Wonder what's going on there then ?
Very annoying griff, but at least we are not travelling the distance like we did 4 years ago.

See that wouldn't bother me TW, we always eat between 5 and 5-30 .......except when we have had a carvery lunch

Griff it was a Crown Carvery but is now Stonehouse. Maybe we just hit a bad day but it was certainly quite poor.

Hi Lynn, quite right too but as you found they did nothing and the person who bought had a shock comming, how can a public path going right through your garden not be a problem ?

I have thought about posting this link for a while, your comments made me do it now.

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-...-68477798.html

Basically this property was a modest three bedroom bungalow belonging to Syd who lived in Sapiston for 80 years and was well liked. When he passed away the property sold for £330K above what a three bedroom bungalow around here costs but there was quite a bit of land which Syd rented out to the Euston Estate.

The buyer, obviously a developer, ripped the roof off and rebuilt the place with 5 bedrooms and made the garage double length.

But what is irking me is the agent says they bought the property for the lovely views, NO THEY DID NOT they bought it purely to rebuild it and sell on at £700K they never lived there, not even for one day. Why can they get away with such lies ?

You'll note the rooms are very small and they've used the old trick of installing windows that sit outside the wall line to make the rooms look bigger. Parking is not easy, the garage is a con, Someone will buy it, if the re-build cost about £100K the developer will have made £270K in less than one year. So why lie about the reason they bought it.

Hi Jenny, you might find that place has had a change of chef, it's surprising what a difference that can make, good luck with your search, my OH is not a great one for eating out, she always seems to find something not right

I did quite a bit of research into Park Homes and the 'something' that worried me was the fact that while you owned the property you do not own the land it sits on so that gives the Park owner considerable rights and there have been some horror stories.

Hi Griff - "make a pasta bake and it can be heated whenever anyone is hungry in the microwave"

We have pasta bake once a week. I quite like having it warmed up in the microwave the next day 'cos the cheese goes all 'crispy' which I like. SWMBO says it's not the same as 'straight out of the oven' but it suits me

Hope those 'ikle little pills' don't upset you too much tomorrow and you can do some things you want to do.

Evening all on two and four legs.
Been quite a busy day for us. DIY store, supermarket, B&M home furnishings - twice, new halogen bulb in the outdoor security but the OIR sensor seems to be the problem.

All by 11:00. Then I walked Max round the local school. What I didn't know is that the nursery in the same grounds got out at 11:15 so Max got a crowd of kids to fuss over him. He laps it up, of course.

And a cautionary tale. My dear wife's computer went belly up. We took it back to Currys where we bought it. That was Sunday a week past. So, a £60 deposit to have it looked at. We got a call on the Monday.
"We can't fix it."
That's a computer that was just three years and a bit old. Not best pleased but we collected it and were refunded the £60.

Our next door neighbour was in there and spotted us.
"Let me have a look at it."
He did and fixed it. The failed part was a tiny capacitor in the power supply. He ordered the replacement part - cost pence and come in a pack of five.

The kicker? Currys hadn't even opened it up. That peed me off right royally.
