It is scary. No fires near me but I have friends in Croydon. A friend and her 10 year old son got caught up in the Tottenham riot after visiting the football ground, her son was terrified and ended up in floods of tears. It makes me disgusted to be a Londoner What the hell do these people think this will acheive?

And why oh why are the police still faffing about after all these recent riots? We need water canons!
Oh I never knew about that - I should watch the news more often. How sad! I agree - giant water pistols on the tops of roofs! Or foam - thats even worse 'cos it gets in your hair and the smell is very off putting - I hated foam parties at the club I used to work at.. that'd get them to clear the streets quickly..

I saw the lady above on another site. She is quite ruddy right.

Some are saying send in the armed forces...problem with that is that most of them are currently serving elsewhere. The PM deigned to cut short his holiday and come back to try to resolve the situation...yeah, good luck with that mate.

I seriously hope all our friends on Dogsey and in London are safe and stay that way. Stay out of the way folks, stay safe *hugs*

I'm just watching it all unfold, it's appalling and very scarey. So many buildings on fire all over London.
One poor old lady woke up to find a man in black standing over her bed.....
I feel for the police too, they are just completely outnumbered. I just hope no lives are lost tonight.
