I have missed all this as havn't seen the news. My cousins husband is in the police there though and although he is off on holiday at the moment he has been told to keep his phone near him so he can be called in if needed.
I don't even know what its all over

The Police shot a local man on Thursday. There were peaceful protests but as usual rent a mob get wind of it and see it as an ideal opportunity to start trouble.

They Police had already started an invesitgation into the shooting so they say.

My friend in chingford got called to say the store he works at got attacked last night ..

I was living in Newcastle when there were riots and two areas were torched and looted. The police basically patrolled perimeters and let them burn.
That didn`t make the national news much though.
Funny that.

Half my friends are too scared to go out of their homes this morning, police cars and sirens running all through the night. Many have had work cancelled (suprise suprise!). The whole high street is in ruins.... took them 3-4 years to re-do half of the high street with new shops and they only finished that last year! Remember when they did gas works along there the road was shut off for 3 weeks - as if that wasn't bad enough!

Aunt and cousin are ok, their road has been cordened off for today while they sweep up glass/debris from the shops by the station and Tesco. Still no word from my brother though.

Isn't this all getting a bit ridiculous now?? why can't the Armed Forced be drafted in in these situations? the Police don't appear to be having much of an effect!
