Castrated collie

hi it may sound a silly question but im lost

We have just had Ben castrated today and he isnt drinking and his tongue keeps lolling to the side and then seems like it has gone numb is this normal???

What time did he have his operation, it takes time to get over the anaesthesia, some dogs take it harder than others.

he had it done sometime this morning after 9 but before 2 oh and he keeps moaning bless him lol

It can take some time for the anaesthetic to leave the system, so try not to worry too much - but if you really are concerned then ring the vet. Poor chap will be a little sore for a day or two.

The best thing is sleep, and more sleep - him not you!

He WONT sleep lol hes a pest for that he never has slept lots i just feel for him as it must hurt him he keeps wimpering which i know he will

it has the details of his meds and the food they gave us and also when he goes back for his checkups inside of it and also says get well soon love oakmount vets lol

Aww lovely card. How is Ben now? As others have said, it does take some dogs a while to come round from the anaesthetic. However, if you are worried I would just give the vets a call to put your mind at rest.
