Pheasant, venison and rabbit

placing my next raw food order and have decided to try a bit mor variety for the dogs...

they are having the usual tripe, liver and lamb mince, and then they have chicken wings and rib bones too.

ive ordered them a raw trotter each to see how they go down, which leaves me with one more mince to order...

now i dont know which to try for the 3rd. rabbit pheasant or venison.

to all of you that have fed these foods did you find the dogs were a bit iffy or unsure with one flavour over another, should i introduce them slowly to it?

and also which flavour would you have preferance for?

Haven't tried pheasant, bit hoping to soon. Venison was a messy affair Cain can just about handle venison bones, but venison mince really gave him the squits. I know venison also upset Karly's dogs' tummies. I love feeding rabbit, Cain always has perfect poos afterwards! It really agrees with him.

I would pick rabbit, it seems to agree with most dogs.

I'd pick rabbit personally as pheasant isnt a fave here. They've had venison but not the mince. I know DAF havent had any venison or pheasant in the past 2 months...

Mine have had chunks and portions but not mince, haven't tried them on pheasant but venison is a huge favourite of theirs with no adverse effects, rabbit was initially rejected by two of them but they eventually tried it and it's now readily eaten. I find the bones in rabbit joints to be really sharp, I've cut my fingers on them a couple of times.

think i will try rabbit then this time, they are only having the minces anyway, not point me buying bone verisons of them as they are just too big for them to manage

Max had rabbit for the first time recently and I have never seen him more enthusiastic in comparison to any other meat he has had. He adores it and has had no problems with tummy upsets.
