Dog riding

I was wondering what you all may think about dog riding

[link removed: don't think it's a good idea to give the site any exposure - the act is irresponsible and not safe, a view shared by the majority of our members.]

As A kid I always wanted to ride my nannas white GSD it seemed soo big to me...I was not allowed because .. I was told it would hurt poor "fella"...
as an adult i am surprised at a web site dedicated to "dog riding" dogs are not load bearing animals, yes they might be strong and able to pull considerable weights, but to my knowledge dogs are not physically built to be ridden, It has the potentail to be very dangerous for some dogs !!

Cruel & very sick! It encourages kids to mess & maul dogs.
What if the dog turned round a attacked the child. It would n't be the dogs fault!

Disgraceful, dogs do not have the physique to carry a person no matter how small, apart from the cruelty aspect it is downright dangerous for dog and child.

I just can't imagine why the maker of that website would think it is amusing.

I think it would be a good idea to bookmark this link, just so that when I feel benign towards the human race, I can be reminded just what depths some people can plummet to

Suddenly, dressing dogs up in doggy clothing doesn't seem so bad on the cruelty and canine humiliation scale......

I've just signed their guest book! Don't think my message will be allowed :smt018
Might be a good idea for us all to express our feelings to them!
