Polo has been resting today but always kept me in sight, poor boy. He let me take a pic of his sore snout and you can see the worst scrape on his hind leg. While he was asleep I found a few more dozen cuts and grazes
It will be a quiet week for all of us.

deccy you put yourself at risk to help him, some folk don't understand the bond you have but i would have done the same, there would be no way i could wait for others to come and help.
don't worry about what she thinks as long as your all safe thats all that counts.

Thanks again for the kind wishes. He managed to break into a trot today, so he must be feeling better!
I spoke with the kennel owner again today, she went back to the scene of the mishap and found an old, rotten tree totally flattened. It looks like he went head first into it, a sufficient speed to knock it down and knock his teeth out as well - then carry on to the bottom - if the tree had been sound and stayed upright, he would have been killed.
Sometimes good luck takes the strangest forms.....

Aw, he looks a bit dejected there but I am so glad to hear he is improving bit by bit with each passing hour.

I cant even begin to imagine how awful that moment must have been, to spot your dog at the bottom of that cliff.

Take care
