Anal Glands

OK so I know I should know this, but I dont, so before I take Mouse to the vet, I have to ask you all.

Mouse has developed issues with her anal glands... basically, they leak, They have always done it, but not very often, and would happen rarely... However it's started to be alot more often, so I am going to have to express them to prevent nasty smells on my furniture. I did it yesterday, and it was yellow. I dont remember it being yellow when the vet did Scout's, so I thought I'd better ask if being yellow is normal, or if she likely has an infection. She just started her heat too, if that makes a difference.

OMG it's disgusting! I did it outside, and it squirted out about a foot! (I just have to press on the outside, I dont have to stick my finger in )

I've emptied quite a few and if the fluid is yellow then this could indicate an infection.

I watched the vet do Billy's the other day and it definitely had a golden yellowy colour to it. He said it seemed normal. So gross!
