I adore Will Smith and thought the film was excellent (much better than the original) - the GSD is so beautiful too, but I'm sure from memory they must use different dogs for the part as I seem to remember noticing differences in it's markings?

I have never seen that alternative ending - I actually prefer it. Thanks for posting
