Nice, had a lovely soak and in bed myself. Cariad fast asleep on her bed in the kitchen, at the bottom of the stairs so she doesn't oversleep and miss breakfast in the morning

He's a rescue and has tturned out to be a very good dog.
When I read about some of the problems aired here I realise just how good.

Another day draws to a close.
We walk as we do. A bit wet for the morning hike. Better later. We got in a bit over seven miles.

A little event that made me smile. A neighbour a few houses down walks a Pug and a golden lab/retriever. On our last walk the golden was being walked on the lead. It saw Max and wanted to play. They get along brilliantly. The owner, sensibly, let go of the lead.

There is a little bit more of the story. The guy and his dog is shunned by some other dog owners. For sure he is a big dog and maybe they feared for their little dogs.

Whatever, he and Max get along. And Max is affable - and protective of us.
