Apologies to Brohan1097 for your first thread here to turn into such chaos and disapproval from a troll

Yes I looked, and am really not sure why a 2.5 year old dog is referred to as a puppy from a law student, nor why a 2.5 year old adult dog needs weewee pads. Something is not right here

This is a photo of a happy Yorkie..... http://d11kavc4axrfgm.cloudfront.net...tureyorkie.jpg Note the lack of leash and look of joyous freedom on it's face. Here is another one http://buzzsharer.com/wp-content/upl...er-running.jpg No good dog deserves a cage.

There is no other view as to dogs not belonging in crates http://blog.oregonlive.com/politics_...09/06/mill.JPG

You really want to disagree with me? https://www.google.com/search?q=pupp...w=1280&bih=649

We could all find poor examples of dogs in crates if we looked but that doesn't mean people who care for their dogs would keep them in those conditions.
Stop preaching you're not the only person on the planet who walks their dog off lead.

A cage is a cage when you are in it. Zoos no longer use them because it is considered unhealthy both physically and psychologically to the animal, and those cages were always larger than crates that are actually designed so that the dog can not move too much and hurt itself. There is a post above this one with a photo of a Yorkie in a cage, one that does not look very happy to me, and the door is open

The difference is zoo animals were caged 24/7 and your average domestic pet sleeps in one overnight, one where they have plenty of room to stretch and move and turn etc. Zoo animals do not interact with others and domestic dogs do so it's a rubbish comparison.

Why would an owner keep a pet dog in a cage overnight? that is cruel. I mean if the owner is home why does the dog need to be locked up? You are also mistaken, because if the animal must be caged overnight, then it is likely caged while the owner is working as well, so now we are up to 18 hours a day or so. Furthermore, moving in a cage is not exercise, this is. https://www.flickr.com/photos/136279...7659844998024/ and this https://www.flickr.com/photos/136279...7659844998024/ Seriously, you can not make me want my dogs to be caged and immobile like yours, you must understand that.

I could post photo's like yours but what does it prove ?
You're making assumptions because nowhere did I say my dogs are caged and immobile and nor do I work and I don't care about your dogs sleeping arrangements tbh. Also you need to learn you are not the only person who exercises their dogs off lead, most of us have been doing it for decades. Every dog I have ever owned has been able to exercise off lead it's nothing new.

99 percent of dog owners can not post photos like mine, because there is not one leash in any of my photos. So going by the numbers you never let your dog run free like nature designed it too. You misunderstand if you believe that I exercise my dogs off lead, while this is true I once went away for a camping trip in a national wilderness area. We left on a Friday and returned on Sunday night, this dog was never leashed once, either while she chased geese or sat around the campfire. Most people can not fathom this even being possible, and they resent me for being able to do this. Many people even ask me how I trained this, it used to stump me because it was not hard at all, in fact the dogs learn this on their own without training. However now I understand, that I never taught my dogs to be dumb on a leash in the first place. See leashes teach dogs to be fully dependent on the leash holder, which once taught, is unfortunately permanent.
