or should we just sleep downstairs when the pup cry until the pup is used to it on the bed sofa how long will this take before the crying would stop

2.is just dry dog food ok or should i mix with wet does it matter ?

what will we need bed/food lead i cant think today lol
and what age can i expect the pup to sleep through be house trained i cant remember

Good to have crate in bedroom but keep the crate door shut when pup is in there. I know sounds daft but so many people have said to me that they keep the crate door open. With food don't use wet food just moisten the dry. Be careful of the protein in dry food. Too high and you could end up with a pup more than normally hyperactive. Sleeping through the night depends on lots of things. Just be vigilant for restlessness at night, you will soon know when to take pup out for a wee etc.

Very cute pup. I thought you had to move house first?

I always have my pups in my bedroom with me (in a crate, or dog bed) when they first come home. It is an upsetting time for a pup when it is first taken from its mum and litter mates, so having your presence will be a comfort. It also helps with house-training as you can hear if the pup needs to go out in the night.

Your pup should come with a few days worth of whatever food it is being fed by the breeder. You can mix the breeder's food with whatever dry food (if you are feeding kibble) you wish to feed. My dogs a breakfast of raw food and their evening meal is dry, complete food but I like to lightly boil some mince and I mix that through.

It will very much depend on how consistent you are in terms of house-training, and some pups take to it more quickly than others.

Good luck.

Have you had pups before? Looks like she has a nice round belly there. Is that after she has eaten or do you think she may need wormng? Just a thought, don't be offended.
